Guess who’s back, back again, tech blogs back, tell your friends. About time. See below for juicy techy morsels.

RIP iPod

After 21 years, Apple has officially discounted everyone’s favourite portable music device, the iPod, which for me is the most iconic bit of Apple tech of the 21st century. While the iPhone has clearly been revolutionary, it doesn’t hold a candle to the immediately recognisable image of the iPod Classic’s navigation dial or the sheer playfulness of the various colours and iterations of an iPod Nano. Damn you Spotify.

Mail via drone

For some silly reason, Royal Mail has proposed a new fleet of 500 drones to help access remote communities across the UK. I’m sure the barren wilderness of Luton is eternally grateful.

Taking my foot off the sarcastic pedal briefly, there are many locations in the UK that could greatly benefit from this accessibility, such as the Shetland Islands or the Hebrides. We do love a bit of devolution, but I do hope these drones are wearing ridiculously small shorts all year round.

Crypto collapse

It feels like it’s been a while since my last “I told you so” crypto moment, so here we go again. The entire crypto landscape looks set to take a huge downturn as benchmark stable coin Tether dropped to 82 cents on the dollar. All stable coins are supposed to remain at a value of $1 for one coin. In short, all the various silly crypto values are crashing rapidly, and I for one could not feel more vindicated.
